On April 19, 2020, it's been a year since Gurudev Chitrabhanuji's soul left his body and started the divine journey. JAINA requests you all to observe silence for two minutes with your family and pay tribute to Gurudev Chitrabhanuji.
JAINA gives Anumodna to all the Tapasvis and hopes VarshitapTapasvi’s, who must have broken their year-long fasting on AkshayTritya, are in Sukh-Sata. Read below the story behind the importance of AkshayTritya, the day when Bhagwan Adinath broke his 400 days of fasting with Sugarcane juice.
A young Jain Professional, Ms. Mayuri Bhandari, has created a video where she sings her self-written poem about ecology and the environment during COVID-19. Watch her beautiful work below.

Remembering Gurudev Shri Chirtabhanuji
|
|
On April 19, it’s been a year to when Gurudev Chitrabhanuji's soul left his body. JAINA EC observed silence for two minutes on April 20, 2020, at the beginning of the
EC meeting to pay tribute to Gurudev Chitrabhanuji. JAINA requests you to observe silence for two minutes with your family.
Shri Chandraprabh Sagarji Maharaj whom we lovingly know as Gurudev Chitrabhanuji was one of the co-founders of JAINA - which represents all Jains without distinction
of sects or the region. His departure will always remain irreparable loss to JAINA and the entire Jain Community around the world.
Let’s remember the Gurudev once again by reading about his life journey and listening to ‘Maitri Bhaav Nu Pavitra Zarnu’ which was written by the Gurudev himself and sung for the first time by the Bollywood singer, Mukesh.

Importance of Akshay Tritya
|
|
For Jains,AkshayTritya/Akha
Teej is the day when all VarshitapTapasvi's shall have Parana’s with Sugarcane juice after their tap of 400 Days. BhagwanRishabhdev did it with 400 Upvas's but has been
kind enough on us to provide us a way to do it with Upvas on Alternate days with Biyasna's on other alternate days &Balas (2 Upvas's) in between when upvas days are
followed by Tithi's so all Varshitaptapasvi's do more than 220 Upvas's.

CORONA VIRUS (COVID-19) Relief Fund
|
|
Communities across the country are closely monitoring the outbreak of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) and following public health preparedness. According to the Center for Disease Control (CDC), the United States nationally is currently in the
initiation phases of COVID-19, but states, where community spread is occurring, are in the acceleration phase. The duration and the severity of each phase can vary depending
on the characteristics of the virus and the public health response.
This crisis threatens everyone's way of life, but it is especially difficult for people who are already vulnerable-including those with pre-existing medical conditions,
no savings, or inflexible jobs.
JAINA World Community Service (WCS) is launching a fund for the victims of this unfathomable tragedy and ask the Jains of North America to contribute. The funds will be used for a humanitarian/educational projects selected by the World Community Service Committee & executed once the relief operations end and rehabilitation work begins.
Please make your tax-deductible contribution through JAINA at the link below.
